Bare Necessi-Tees

The perfect t-shirt is something that is a different ideal to different people - we all want something that fits in with our own aesthetics and styles, something can fit in that awkward high-low part of wardrobes and work just as well for comfy laziness as it can with jeans and heels to meet the girls for drinks. I thought I'd found it almost two years ago, but then I never saw it again. What I've found now, what I have already started stocking up on in several colours just in case, and what I found two years ago are two very different tops, which just goes to show how long it might take

My new favourite t-shirt comes with a wide v-neck, sleeves that are short enough to verge on capped-sleeves, hits at the right point to tuck in to even low-slung skinnies but isn't so long it's ridiculous, and comes in muted colours that fit in super easily with the rest of my wardrobe. It does that "loose fitting but clings where I want it to" thing that's surprisingly hard to find. It has a detail that stops it being boring but doesn't make it too fancy for slumming it around the house in.
