The Return of the Naked Dress

Remember Carrie's first date with Mr Big in SATC? And she wears a dress that the girls hail as 'The Naked Dress'? The one that's she's wearing on her ubiquitous bus ad? This dress?

Well, it's back. Not this one, but 'The Naked Dress' has been reborn. It's a Calvin Klein creation, almost as un-styled as the 'original', and this time it's Rooney Mara who's threatening to bare all without baring anything. 

What is it with designers and creating dresses that almost make people look like they aren't wearing anything? Sure, it's eye-catching, and you remember them, and 'it's all about the person in the dress instead of the dress', but call me old-fashioned, I'd rather clearly leave things to the imagination than suggest that I'm not, and I'm 'known' for showing a lot of leg when I feel like it...
